In from the field
Parking

Parking at our new field has been hap-hazard at best.

In order to keep order to our parking, we need to park in an orderly manner.

The committee has decided that ALL  cars, trailers, push-bikes, scooters and motor bikes will henceforth ONLY  be parked in the designated area.

To further enhance the order of our newly ordered parking facilty, all manner of transport capable of transporting people will be parked according to average wave-length of their colours. Highest wave-length to the East. As Black is deemed to have NO  wave-length , these must be the Eastern-most. Although white is technically all wavelengths of visable light, to us mere mortals, it is the opposite to black, so therefore, must be parked Western-most.

Later the same Day

It was after a short downpour that the clubs only 'flying' ground vehicle was put through it's paces.

The aptly named 'Lost the Plot' hovercraft zoomed aver grass and puddle alike, with bearly any sense of direction at all, but with enough speed to satisfy any adrenaline RC Junkie.

8 Feb 2010

This weekend saw the most unsuccessful flying weekend in many a moon.

The turnout was great, the weather was great. And herein lies the problem. Following the latest weather reports, all members attending had retro-fitted their 'planes and 'helis with floats to start practicing on what should have become "Waterford Model Pond". Alas, the sun shone all day Friday and Saturday, and Sunday, leaving the 'lake' looking suspiciously like a green landing field. This spelt doom for all the planes, with only the float fitted 'helis being able to operate. Thankfully non of our members tried to arrive at Waterford Model Lake in a boat, but all drove out to what is now the Club's Flying Field.

It is thus that sadly in the future, wheels will be put back onto planes, and regular field take-off and landings are envisioned for the club and it's members.  :(
